PRESS RELEASE - February 2, 2007
BRIDGEPORT – Charles Pointe, local master-planned community, is adding Buffalo Wild Wings, a nearly 6,000 square-foot grill and sports bar-style restaurant. The restaurant will be located in Charles Pointe North, between the Microtel Inn & Suites and 279 Fuel Center.
James A. Corton, managing partner of Genesis Partners, who is developing Charles Pointe, said this is the first restaurant for the community. "The addition of Buffalo Wild Wings is a milestone for Charles Pointe. This is the perfect restaurant to represent the quality, family-friendly businesses we hope to continue attracting into our development," he said. It is to be located within walking distance of residential neighborhoods and offices.
Steve Grube, representative for Buffalo Wild Wings, which features chicken wings flavored by signature sauces, described what can be expected when the 230-seat restaurant opens: "Our sports-themed atmosphere is casual yet dynamic. Seven big screen televisions will be the focal points for diners, and there will also be about 35 smaller televisions in the restaurant. The Buffalo Wild Wings experience is about having fun with family or friends in an upbeat, comfortable atmosphere."
He added that Buffalo Wild Wings also believes in becoming an active member of the community. "As a business, we like to show appreciation to our customers by contributing to the betterment of the entire community. Our organization is family friendly and community oriented; we like to show our commitment by becoming involved in ways that really matter like participating in local fundraisers, community development events and awareness activities."
Family focus also shows in menu selections for kids and adults, including appetizers, salads, wraps and sandwiches, ribs, hamburgers, and desserts, as well as a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. "There truly is something for everyone on our menu," Grube said. "Kids, finicky eaters, the health conscious…everyone."
Bottles of Buffalo Wild Wings 14 signature sauces – including Sweet BBQ, Hot BBQ, Sweet Teriyaki, Caribbean Jerk, Mango Habanero, Spicy Garlic, among others – can be purchased. Grube explained that sauces are available in "mild, medium, hot, wild and blazin’" flavor intensities; take-out menu items and party platters will also be available.
The Bridgeport-based restaurant will be only one of three Buffalo Wild Wings in the Mountain State, and will employ close to 50 people. Corton said, "There are so many reasons to be excited about this development for Charles Pointe and the entire north central West Virginia area. It opens up opportunities for family entertainment, quality food and jobs for service professionals. We’re excited that Charles Pointe is attracting high level businesses to our area."
