Genesis Partners, originators of master development Charles Pointe, has announced changes to its leadership.
"Now that our vision of Charles Pointe is becoming a reality for Genesis Partners, it’s time that we name and congratulate those who have played such a vital role in its development," said Jamie Corton, managing partner for Genesis Partners.
Rob Stuart has been named Director of Development. Stuart is a Mountain State native who graduated from Fairmont State College with both Bachelor of Science and associate’s degrees in civil engineering technology. He went on to study real estate, erosion control, surveying, finance and accounting since college graduation.
"Rob’s commitment to furthering his education and learning more about all aspects of property development have led to significant contributions on his part," Corton said. "That’s what we were looking for in this director position; Rob is a perfect fit."
Stuart has worked for Genesis Partners since 2000. One of his major projects was the master plan development of Charles Pointe, a 1,700-acre model community project mast planned community.
"Rob was responsible for multiple aspects of developing this property – planning, funding, contract management, infrastructure provisions, engineering and construction," Corton said. "He consistently came through for us."
Stuart was formerly the Vice President/Director of Engineering of Grafton Coal Company of Grafton where he was successful in integrating a computerized culture to increase efficiencies and decrease man-hours.
Ira Pritt, who has 26 years experience in engineering, safety, environment and supervision, has been named Director of Operations at Genesis Partners. He is a West Virginia University graduate with a degree in agricultural resource management. His expertise is in property management, scheduling supplies, equipment and labor, as well as safety and human resources.
"We’ve seen Ira function in a number of capacities and have every confidence in his operational judgement and ability," Corton said. "He is also the chairman of our property management steering committee. He has proven himself in every role we have given him, and we know his value as an employee: he’s first rate and well respected."
Other appointments include Rick Lambert as Director of Finance, Jenny McVaney as Director of Administration, Tom Hall as Landscape Architect / Planner, and Todd Satterfield as Project Manager / Surveyor.
Lambert steps into the Director of finance role with experience in various corporate and executive positions, including 5-J Energy and Grafton Coal during his 34-year tenure.
"His loyalty, experience and commitment to Genesis Partners is unequaled," Corton said.
McVaney comes to Genesis Partners following a lengthy career with Grafton Coal. Her business and administrative acumen couple with her historical knowledge and corporate relations is very useful as we move Genesis Partners forward," Corton said. "We are so pleased that she is part of our new team."
Hall graduated from WVU with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture. He is a registered landscape architect and a certified planner. He has experience in surveying, construction and mine permitting, title research, and land planning. His creativity has been invaluable to projects with Corton since 1996.
"Tom’s interest in and dedication to continuing education and building a culture of automation makes him an invaluable employee. He is forward-thinking and progressive: he’s our motivator to stay current in a fast changing world."
Satterfield earned a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering Technology from WVU. He is currently involved in construction projects, material acquisition, estimating and bid preparation.
Barbara McQuillan, who is a 30-year accounting veteran, has been named Senior Accounting Assistant. She handles all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledgers.
Sherry Flesher is Genesis Partners’ Administrative Assistant. She has been part of the team since 2000. She is also a key member of the marketing and communications team at Genesis Partners.
"Her outgoing personality and commitment to the customer sets the stage for excellence," said Corton.
