"Scott spent more than a decade here at Charles Pointe helping us set the standard for hospitality, great food, and customer service in north central West Virginia," said Jamie Corton, Managing Partner of Genesis Partners and CPH. "Having worked with Scott the last four years and having a wealth of experience from all over the country, we are confident that Steve will continue the level of excellence that our customers, patrons and guests have come to expect."

Recognized for his leadership skills and management success, a series of promotions and opportunities over nearly four decades took Ludwig to hotel, resort, conference, and catering operations in North Carolina, Texas, Nebraska, Washington, Oklahoma and California. In 2007, he jumped at the opportunity to return with his family back to West Virginia when he joined Stonewall Resort as Director of Sales & Marketing. Ludwig would spend ten years at Stonewall Resort before joining Charles Pointe Hospitality in 2018.

"From its very start, Charles Pointe set out to be north central West Virginia's premier location to live, work, raise a family, recreate and retire," Ludwig said. "I can't tell you how excited I am to be part of making that vision a reality when it comes to the hospitality we provide."

Conveniently located right off Interstate 79, the Bridgeport Conference Center offers over 16,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space appropriate for conferences, weddings and events, small and large. A Convention South Magazine Reader’s Choice Award winner, the Bridgeport Conference Center offers an award-winning culinary team, modern design and outstanding customer service. It has become a popular choice for meeting planners statewide since opening in 2006.

Mia Margherita Coal Fired Pizzeria is entering its 9th year of operation and was recently honored by Trip Advisor and USA Today magazine as having the best pizza in West Virginia. Today, Mia Margherita's is one of the area’s most popular family restaurants.

A top performer in its market segment, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bridgeport has received multiple “Best of Microtel” awards, which recognize the best hotels Microtel has to offer - those hotels that demonstrate a commitment to modern design, affordable comfort and exceptional service.

"Charles Pointe's vision is to set the standard for local hospitality and quality service in West Virginia. I'm pleased for the opportunity to lead such a dedicated team of professionals and owners who share that vision," Ludwig said.

Ludwig and his wife Vikki are residents of Bridgeport. They are the parents of Daniel Ludwig and Maggie Ludwig, both graduates of Bridgeport High School.
