Bridgeport, WV. Genesis Partners is proud to announce that the Charles Pointe Invitational Cross Country Race will take place on Saturday, August 27th. The event is sponsored by Bridgeport High School (BHS) and will attract some of the best high school and middle school cross country runners from throughout West Virginia.

The Charles Pointe Invitational (CPI) is one of the most anticipated and most challenging cross country races in the state. This year's race will feature a brand new course professionally designed by BHS coaches and the development staff at Genesis Partners. Spectators will be able to watch runners along most of the 3.2 mile course.

Participating schools will begin the race at The Bridge Sports Complex. Parents and spectators will be able to park near the baseball fields.

Schools will begin arriving at 7:00am. The first race (High School Girls) will begin at 9:00am.

"We are always happy to host this race at Charles Pointe," said Jamie Corton of Genesis Partners. "This race is a great partnership with Bridgeport High School and it brings hundreds of families to our city. We want every school, every runner, and every family to enjoy their visit."

According to Corton, watching the race is open to spectators and he encourages everyone to attend. Bridgeport High School will ask for a $5 donation for each spectator. Concessions will also be available.

The high school awards presentation will take place at 10:30am. The middle school awards presentation will take place at 12:15pm. The media is invited and encouraged to attend.
