Hank Soutter named General Manager of Mia Margherita Coal Fired Pizzeria at Charles Pointe

BRIDGEPORT, WV. Charles Pointe Hospitality (CPH) is pleased to announce Hank Soutter has been promoted to General Manager of Mia Margherita Coal Fired Pizzeria.

Mr. Soutter's responsibilities include oversight of all phases of Mia Margherita sales, operations, and guest satisfaction. This responsibility will include all on and off-site dining services and catering.

Hank Soutter, a native of Falmouth, Massachusetts, brings over 30 years of food and beverage management and leadership experience to his new role. Prior to joining the Mia team, Hank was the owner of Hank's Deli with locations in Fairmont and Bridgeport. Prior to that, he had a 15 year career at the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort in Naples FL as well as a 3 year stint as Assistant Food and Beverage Director at the award winning Miromar Lakes Beach and Golf Club in Miromar Lakes, FL.

Located at Charles Pointe in Bridgeport, Mia Margherita Coal Fired Pizzeria was designed and created in 2013 as West Virginia’s first and only Coal Fired Pizzeria. It features an open concept dining room, full service bar, a private dining room that seats up to 40 people, a covered outdoor patio and a retail market offering wines by the bottles, craft beer, locally made desserts and curated Italian foods.

The restaurant’s theme takes on the Italian Appalachian Heritage prominently displayed in North Central West Virginia. The very first licensed pizzeria was fired by coal and is still in existence in New York City. Our goal was to pay homage to the history of Pizza making its way into the United States and originally fired by Coal. While Pizza is our namesake, one can find a variety of pastas, salads, sandwiches and other specialty entrees that complement the restaurant's theme. USA Today and Trip Advisor has named Mia Margherita as having “The Best Pizza in West Virginia”.
