BRIDGEPORT WV – September 18th, - Mr. Robert Stuart, Director of Planning and Engineering of Genesis Partners, Master Developer of the true mixed-use Charles Pointe Master Plan, today announced at the regular Harrison County Commission Meeting the development and construction of CHARLES POINTE CROSSING, a massive 650,000 SF retail complex located immediately off of Exit 124 at the intersection of Interstate I-79 and WV State Rt 279 in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Encompassing in excess of 110 acres and involving over four million cubic yards of earthwork, CHARLES POINTE CROSSING will offer over 650,000 SF of new retail, restaurant, and hospitality opportunities to the region. Charles Pointe is a 1,700-acre mixed-use, master planned “smart growth” development integrating residential, retail, hospitality, and office use with exceptional amenities including parks, trails, and an abundance of open space.

Site development will commence immediately and be completed in 2020 with local contractor, Wolfe’s Excavating LLC, performing the initial work. With 24 offices nationwide, site design has been completed by one of the state’s largest engineering firms located in Bridgeport, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Inc. (CEC), who will also serve as the Engineer of Record through completion of site construction.

CHARLES POINTE CROSSING will be anchored by one of the first MENARDS home improvement centers to be built in West Virginia. MENARDS, the nation’s third largest home improvement chain, will begin construction in 2020 of a nearly 203,000 SF retail center on a 17-acre parcel within CHARLES POINTE CROSSING that will open in 2021.
